I'm not sure if we will ever get a free wifi without catches access to
the Internet but there is something you can do now to decrease your
costs if your ISP is NTL. If you complain to them that they are
charging too much and you intend to leave because of this they will
make significant reductions in what they charge you. For example a 10
meg link normally costs £34.99 with NTL but if you challenge them you
can actually get it for £17.49. You have to make them believe you so
dig your heals in until they put you over to the retention's dept.
